Baghdad Gold Prices Plummet to 980,000 IQD Per Mithqal
Gold prices have declined in Baghdad and Erbil markets, according to a recent survey by Shafaq News Agency. On Sunday, gold prices hovered around 980,000 IQD per mithqal (five grams) on Baghdad's Al-Nahr Street. The selling price for 21-carat gold was recorded at 983,000 IQD, while the buying price stood at 979,000 IQD.
The same gold had sold for 985,000 IQD on Saturday. In jewelry stores, the selling price per mithqal of 21-carat Gulf gold ranged between 985,000 and 995,000 IQD. Meanwhile, Iraqi gold was sold for between 955,000 and 965,000 IQD.
In Erbil, gold prices were slightly higher. The selling price for 22-carat gold stood at 1,022,000 IQD per mithqal, while 21-carat gold was priced at 977,000 IQD and 18-carat gold at 937,000 IQD.
