Baghdad Gold Prices Steady, Erbil Sees Slight Increase

Gold prices held steady in Baghdad on Sunday while edging higher in Erbil.

According to a market survey by Shafaq News, gold prices hovered around 950,000 IQD per mithqal (five grams) in the capital city of Baghdad. On Al-Nahr Street, the selling price for 21-carat gold was recorded at 950,000 IQD, while the buying price remained unchanged from Saturday at 946,000 IQD.

The prices for different types of gold also showed some variation. In jewelry stores, 21-carat Gulf gold ranged between 950,000 and 960,000 IQD per mithqal, while Iraqi gold sold for between 920,000 and 930,000 IQD.

Meanwhile, in Erbil, the prices were slightly higher. The selling price for 22-carat gold was recorded at 983,000 IQD per mithqal, 21-carat gold at 940,000 IQD, and 18-carat gold at 805,000 IQD.
