Bajus Cuts Gold Prices by Tk1,691 per Bhori in Domestic Market
The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (Bajus) has cut gold prices for the second time this month, reducing the price of 22-carat gold by Tk1,691 per bhori to Tk2,32,930, including VAT. This decision comes after two consecutive hikes in gold prices. The new rates came into effect at 10am on September 26.
Bajus has set the price of pure gold (tezabi gold) lower than before, considering the overall market situation. Under the revised prices, a bhori (11.664 grams) of 22-carat gold will cost Tk2,32,930, while 21-carat gold will be priced at Tk2,22,491 per bhori.
The price of 18-carat gold has been set at Tk1,91,056 per bhori, and traditional-method gold will cost Tk1,56,064 per bhori. Bajus has also reduced silver prices in the domestic market. The price of 22-carat silver has been cut by Tk291 per bhori to Tk4,841, including VAT.
