Baker Hughes and Venture Global Advance US Gas Infrastructure with Major Pipeline and Liquefaction Awards
Baker Hughes and Venture Global LNG are expanding their partnership to advance critical U.S. gas infrastructure, according to a recent announcement.
The two companies will collaborate on the Cloud Connector Pipeline project in Louisiana, where Baker Hughes will provide gas compression systems driven by Frame 5/2E gas turbines.
This represents one of the largest deployments for LNG feed gas transportation in the United States and will enable reliable and efficient transportation of feed gas through the Cloud Connector Pipeline to Venture Global's Plaquemines facility.
Baker Hughes will also provide a modular liquefaction solution, including cold boxes, to support the expansion of the Plaquemines LNG facility. This will include four liquefaction blocks, comprising a total of eight liquefaction modules, each based on two electric-motor driven single mixed-refrigerant (SMR) liquefaction modules and associated compression trains.
The partnership between Baker Hughes and Venture Global reinforces their long-standing collaboration across the natural gas value chain. The companies have worked together to deliver more than 100 MMtpy of existing and planned LNG production capacity, making them a leading industrialized energy provider in the sector.
