Baker Hughes Lands Dual Equipment Contracts for Venture Global LNG Expansion

Baker Hughes has secured two new equipment contracts from Venture Global LNG to expand the Plaquemines LNG facility and Cloud Connector Pipeline in Louisiana.

The first contract covers 13 gas compression systems for the Cloud Connector Pipeline, which will be driven by Frame 5/2E gas turbines. The second contract involves four liquefaction blocks with eight SMR modules each, supplied by Chart Industries for cold boxes.

These awards are tied to Louisiana's infrastructure development and follow a pattern of Venture Global standardizing its LNG buildout using proven modular designs across projects.

The compression systems will increase the pipeline's capacity to handle higher gas volumes from the expanded Plaquemines facility, while the liquefaction blocks will boost production capacity at the site. Baker Hughes has already supplied equipment for Venture Global's other facilities and pipelines, with this deal further solidifying their partnership.
