Baker Hughes Lands Major Contract for Indonesian Gas Development Project
Baker Hughes has secured a significant contract to supply subsea systems for the Kutei Northern Hub gas development project off the coast of Indonesia.
The company will provide 17 deepwater horizontal subsea trees, along with related manifolds, control systems, and subsea distribution hardware, as well as implement its Cordant asset protection and condition monitoring platform to boost equipment reliability and reduce unexpected outages.
This project aims to increase Indonesia's natural gas output and LNG export capabilities by linking the newly found Geng North field with the adjacent Gehem project. Baker Hughes' executive vice president for Oilfield Services & Equipment, Amerino Gatti, stated that this hub marks a crucial milestone in Indonesia's push to provide natural gas and LNG for both domestic consumption and the wider region.
