Baker Hughes Lands Major Contract for Indonesian Subsea Project
Baker Hughes has secured a significant contract to supply subsea systems for the Kutei Northern Hub development in Indonesia. The company will provide 17 deepwater horizontal tree systems, along with associated manifolds and connections, control and distribution systems, as well as its Cordant asset protection and condition monitoring systems.
The Kutei Northern Hub development is a crucial step in Indonesia's drive to deliver natural gas and LNG to power the country and the broader region. The project involves the integrated development of the recently discovered Geng North field and the Gehem field, with Baker Hughes' solutions supporting efficient subsea operations for natural gas production.
Baker Hughes will leverage its operational and manufacturing capabilities in Indonesia to enhance supply chain resilience, project delivery efficiency, and ongoing production performance. The company's Global Manufacturing Center for Subsea Trees in Batam will deliver trees, while its Balikpapan facility will provide additional operational and service support.
