Bangkok Energy Summit Concludes with $40 Billion in Deals Across Global Industry
Gastech 2026 in Bangkok has concluded with billions of dollars in energy deals announced or advanced, cementing its place as the global meeting point for the industry. The event saw memoranda of understanding, supply agreements, and investment commitments worth an estimated $40 billion USD.
The agreements span various sectors, including LNG supply, power generation, upstream development, petrochemicals, and shipping. They demonstrate the event's ability to turn strategic dialogue into commercial action, with producers, buyers, governments, investors, technology leaders, and infrastructure providers collaborating to secure long-term supply and expand capacity.
Key deals announced include a landmark 20-year sales and purchase agreement between China Gas Holdings and Venture Global LNG for 0.5 million tonnes per annum of US LNG from 2030. GE Vernova and B.Grimm Power also signed agreements for natural gas-turbine supply and long-term services in Malaysia and Thailand.
Gastech's Strategic Conference continued to drive high-level conversations on energy security, reliability, and affordability. Sessions explored the policy, infrastructure, and delivery strategies needed to sustain momentum and meet global growth demands.
