Bangladesh Gas Supply Disrupted by Adverse Weather
The transfer of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from cargo vessels to floating storage regasification units (FSRUs) in Maheshkhali, Bangladesh has been disrupted due to adverse weather conditions.
Petroleum corporation Petrobangla released a statement stating that the disruption caused a reduction in regasified LNG (RLNG) and overall gas supply, but did not provide specific figures or percentages.
The company attributed the temporary inconvenience to 'unavoidable circumstances' and assured that normal gas supply would resume as soon as weather conditions in the Bay of Bengal improve.
