Bangladesh Gas Supply Situation Improves After Weather Disruption

The gas supply situation in Bangladesh has shown significant improvement after a temporary disruption caused by inclement weather.

Liquefied natural gas (LNG) transfer operations from an imported cargo to Summit's floating terminal in Cox's Bazar's Maheshkhali resumed on Friday morning as weather conditions improved, increasing gas supplies from imported LNG.

According to Petrobangla's daily gas supply data, the total gas supply stood at 2,525 million cubic feet (mmcfd) at 2pm on Friday. Of this, 1,607 mmcfd came from domestic sources and 918 mmcfd from imported LNG.

This marks a significant increase in LNG-based gas supply, which rose by 232 mmcfd in just one day.
