Bangladesh Gold Price Drops Amid BAJUS Announcement
The Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) announced a reduction in gold prices on September 26, 2026. According to the new price, the highest quality 22-carat gold per bhori has been reduced by 1,691 taka, from the previous price of 2,34,621 taka to the new price of 2,32,930 taka.
The prices for 21-carat and 18-carat gold have also been reduced. The price of 21-carat gold per bhori has been reduced by 1,574 taka, from the previous price of 2,24,065 taka to the new price of 2,22,491 taka. Similarly, the price of 18-carat gold per bhori has been reduced by 1,341 taka, from the previous price of 1,92,397 taka to the new price of 1,91,056 taka.
Traditional (Sonaton) gold per bhori has also seen a reduction, down by 1,108 taka, from the previous price of 1,57,172 taka to the new price of 1,56,064 taka. Buyers must pay more than the set price when purchasing gold jewelry due to additional fees.
