The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (Bajus) has raised the price of gold in the domestic market for the third time this month. As of 10am on August 25, the new price of 22-carat gold is Tk 2,47,743 per bhori (11.664 grams), an increase of Tk 1,633 from the previous rate. This hike brings the new prices in line with international market trends.

The association cited a rise in the price of pure gold as the reason for the revision. The new rates will apply to all jewellery shops until further notice, although making charges may vary depending on the design of the item.

Bajus has adjusted gold prices 107 times so far this year, with 55 hikes and 51 cuts. Silver prices remained unchanged in this adjustment, but have been adjusted 64 times in 2026, with 34 increases and 30 decreases.
