Bangladesh Gold Price Surges Tk 9,856 Per Bhori Amid Rising Pure Gold Prices
The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (Bajus) has increased the price of gold in the domestic market, citing rising pure gold prices. The new rate for 22-karat gold is Tk 232,930 per bhori, inclusive of VAT, a Tk 9,856 increase from the previous rate.
This adjustment took effect at 10am on August 6, as per Bajus's notification. Other gold types also saw price hikes: 21-karat gold now costs Tk 222,491 per bhori, while 18-karat gold is priced at Tk 191,056 per bhori.
Additionally, the price of silver was raised. The new rate for 22-karat silver is Tk 4,899 per bhori, with VAT included.
