Bangladesh Gold Prices Hike Again with 22-Carat Rate at Record High
The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (Bajus) has raised the price of gold in the domestic market for the second time this month. The rate of 22-carat gold has been increased by Tk 1,633 per bhori, taking the new price to Tk 2,47,743 per bhori, including VAT.
This change is effective from 10am on Tuesday and will remain in place until further notice. Bajus noted that making charges will apply depending on jewellery design, but customers cannot be charged VAT separately as it is already included in the selling price of gold and silver ornaments.
