Bangladesh Gold Prices Plummet as BAJUS Announces Reduction
On September 28, 2026, the Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) announced a reduction in gold prices in the local bullion market. The new prices took effect on Saturday, September 26, 2026.
The price of 22-carat gold per bhori has been reduced by 1,691 taka, from the previous price of 2,34,621 taka to the new price of 2,32,930 taka. Similarly, the price of 21-carat gold per bhori has been reduced by 1,574 taka, from the previous price of 2,24,065 taka to the new price of 2,22,491 taka.
Additionally, the price of 18-carat gold per bhori has been reduced by 1,341 taka, from the previous price of 1,92,397 taka to the new price of 1,91,056 taka. Traditional (Sonaton) gold per bhori has also been reduced by 1,108 taka, from the previous price of 1,57,172 taka to the new price of 1,56,064 taka.
The current prices for gold in Bangladesh are as follows: 22 Carat (11.664 grams) Gold Price: BDT 2,32,930; 21 Carat (11.664 grams) Gold Price: BDT 2,22,491; and 18 Carat (11.664 grams) Gold Price: BDT 1,91,056.
