Gold prices have taken a significant drop in Bangladesh's market, with the price of 22-carat gold decreasing by Tk 2,216 per bhori to Tk 2,35,146.

The revised prices came into effect at 10am today. The reduction in gold prices is observed across all types: 21-carat gold has been reduced by Tk 2,100 per bhori to Tk 2,24,590, while 18-carat gold has been cut by Tk 1,750 to Tk 1,92,864 per bhori.

Under the traditional system, the price of gold has been reduced by Tk 1,458 to Tk 1,57,522 per bhori. The price hike in September had increased the prices of all types of gold, but this reduction is a welcome change for consumers.

Interestingly, silver prices have remained unchanged, with no changes observed in the prices of 22-carat, 21-carat, 18-carat, and traditional silver per bhori.
