The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) has raised gold prices in the country for the third time this month. The latest revision sets the price of 22-carat gold at Tk.2,47,743 per bhori, effective from Tuesday morning.
This decision was made by BAJUS's Standing Committee on Pricing and Price Monitoring, chaired by Dewan Aminul Islam Shaheen. The new prices reflect current rates for tejabi gold in the local market, according to BAJUS.
Under the updated rates, 21-carat gold now costs Tk.2,36,574 per bhori, while 18-carat gold has risen by Tk.341 to Tk.2,03,187. Traditional gold prices have increased by Tk.1,108 per bhori.
