Bangladesh Gold Prices Surge: BAJUS Announces New Rates
On October 2, 2026, Probashir Diganta reported that the Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) increased gold prices in the local bullion market. The new prices took effect starting September 30, 2026.
The price of 22-carat gold per bhori was raised by 2,216 taka, from BDT 228,556 to BDT 230,772. Similarly, 21-carat gold per bhori increased by 2,099 taka, and 18-carat gold per bhori rose by 1,808 taka.
The traditional or Sonaton gold price was also raised by 1,458 taka, from BDT 53,148 to BDT 54,606. The prices are as follows:
