Bangladesh Gold Prices Tumble Again: BAJUS Cuts Rates for Third Straight Time
The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) has cut local gold and silver prices for the third consecutive time in Bangladesh. The new prices came into effect from 10:00 AM on Tuesday following a meeting of the BAJUS Standing Committee on Pricing and Price Monitoring.
According to the updated rate structure, high-quality 22-carat gold per bhori (11.664 grams) including VAT is now priced at Tk.2,28,556, down from Tk.2,30,772 previously. Similarly, 21-carat gold is selling at Tk.2,18,292 per bhori, down from Tk.2,20,391.
BAJUS also adjusted local silver prices alongside gold. Under the new rate chart, 22-carat silver is priced at Tk.4,327 per bhori, while 21-carat silver is priced at Tk.4,141 per bhori.
