Bangladesh Seeks More LNG Cargoes Amid Iran War Disruptions

Bangladesh is seeking additional liquefied natural gas (LNG) shipments as the Iran war continues to disrupt flows through the Strait of Hormuz. State-owned Rupantarita Prakritik Gas has issued a tender for three more LNG cargoes, in addition to the five it sought last week.

The South Asian country relies heavily on imported gas, with over 60% of its LNG coming from Qatar last year, according to ship-tracking data compiled by Bloomberg. The recent conflict in Iran has raised concerns about the security of global energy supplies and the potential for further disruptions.
