Gold Futures Rise on Firm Spot Demand and Fresh Speculative Positions
Gold futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange rose by 0.79% to trade higher in a business turnover of 3,424 lots as speculators created fresh positions on a firm spot demand.
The October delivery contracts for gold traded at Rs 1.63 lakh per 10 grams, up from Rs 1,283 compared to the previous price.
Globally, gold futures increased by 0.99% to $4,648.78 per ounce in New York, with analysts attributing the rise to fresh positions built up by participants.
