Bangladesh and the US are exploring energy cooperation through a potential memorandum of understanding (MoU), focusing on liquefied natural gas (LNG) and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).

The MoU aims to strengthen bilateral energy cooperation, enhance Bangladesh's long-term energy security, and provide a framework for expanding energy ties.

Minister Iqbal Hassan Mahmood met with senior US Embassy officials in Dhaka to discuss the proposed agreement. The meeting centered on expanding energy cooperation, signing an MoU, and promoting government-to-government (G2G) collaboration.
