Baytex Raises Production Guidance After Strong Q2 Results
Baytex Energy Corp., a Canadian energy company listed on the TSX and NYSE as BTE, has reported strong second-quarter results for 2026. The company's production exceeded the high end of guidance for the second consecutive quarter, and it raised its full-year production guidance to approximately 71,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boe/d).
The increase in production is attributed to outperformance in the Duvernay and continued strength across the heavy oil portfolio. The company's first Gilby Duvernay pad performed strongly, while new well performance at Peavine exceeded internal expectations.
Baytex generated adjusted funds flow of $254 million ($0.35 per basic share) and cash flows from operating activities of $231 million ($0.32 per basic share). The company also reported net income from continuing operations of $169 million ($0.23 per basic share).
The company's board has appointed new members, but the article does not provide further details on this matter.
