The Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE) has facilitated its first exchange transaction for the sale of feed barley to a Russian company. The transaction, worth $734,000, involved 6,000 tonnes of barley and is the largest export deal in this new area of exchange trading focused on external markets.

The BUCE has been conducting regular trading sessions for grain crops since May 2026, with wheat and rye flour, buckwheat, millet, and barley being sold at auctions. The main buyers are Russian companies from Moscow Oblast, Leningrad Oblast, and Smolensk Oblast.

In the first eight months of 2026, exchange exports of agro-industrial products grew by 1.4 times to $1.2 billion. Dry milk, butter, meat products, and flax fiber were among the largest traded commodities.
