Bessent Dismisses Claims of China's Continued Support for Iran

US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent disputed claims that China is continuing to provide military support to Iran, despite ongoing tensions between the two countries. Speaking on 'Sunday Morning Futures', Bessent stated that while he respects General Jack Keane's views, he believes the analyst is mistaken in his assertion.

'I have great respect for General Keane, but he is mistaken here,' Bessent said. He added that China has significantly reduced its assistance to Iran and noted that the US has had success in limiting Iranian oil exports as part of Operation Economic Outcast.

Bessent also cited statistics showing that only 15 million barrels of Iranian oil remain on the market, with deliveries expected to cease within two weeks. He emphasized that this reduction is a result of US efforts to isolate Iran economically and stated that 'the score is United States one billion, more than one billion barrels have gotten out, Iran, zero.'
