Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent believes oil prices could drop significantly once the Iran conflict ends. He predicts that abundant supply will flood the market, leading to prices between $40 and $50 per barrel.

Bessent made these comments during an interview on 'My View with Lara Trump,' where he also discussed the state of the American economy. He stated that it is 'very strong' and experiencing a 'productivity burst.'

The Treasury Secretary emphasized that the current 'energy supply shock' is only temporary, and the US is an 'energy superpower.' He believes that as the Iran conflict subsides, global oil trade will become less reliant on the Strait of Hormuz.
