Black Sea Attacks Spark Global Food Price Concerns

Two months of nonstop attacks by Russia and Ukraine on each other's commercial ships and ports in the Black Sea and Sea of Azov have severely impacted grain exports from both countries.

This has led to a surge in wheat futures, reaching their highest level in three years, and threatening global food supplies.

Russia and Ukraine together account for more than a quarter of the world's wheat exports and also produce large amounts of barley, corn, and sunflower oil.
