The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) has released its August oil output figures, revealing that Bonny and Forcados terminals were the country's highest-producing oil streams. According to the NUPRC, Bonny terminal recorded an average daily production of 320,000 barrels per day (bpd), while Forcados terminal followed with 317,400 bpd.

Together, these two terminals accounted for 37.9 percent of Nigeria's total output in August, which stood at 1,677,777 barrels per day. This represents a modest increase of 0.4 percent from July and meets the country's Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) quota for the fourth consecutive month.

The NUPRC attributed this increase to the resolution of operational challenges at the Erha field, which had negatively impacted production in the preceding month.
