Brass Bar Operating Rates Rebound as Copper Prices Pull Back
Copper prices have retreated from their highs in recent days, providing some relief to downstream industries struggling with high raw material costs. As a result, some previously hesitant orders are now being released, according to SMM's latest data.
The operating rate of SMM brass bar sample enterprises rebounded more than expected this week (9.11-9.17), reaching 48.74%. This represents a 1.28 percentage point increase compared to the previous week. The easing of copper price pressure on downstream orders has prompted the release of some previously wait-and-see orders.
