Brazil Dominates Global Animal Feed Markets with Record Harvest Forecast

Brazil's dominance in global animal feed production is largely due to its massive scale of corn and soybean meal production.

The country's large-scale production enables it to operate at highly competitive prices on a global scale, allowing Brazil to consolidate a dominant market share against other international competitors.

According to the Brazilian Animal Protein Association (ABPA), the availability of raw materials and integration among crop growers, feed mills, producers, and agribusinesses contribute significantly to Brazil's leadership as the world's leading meat exporter.

Brazil forecasts a record production of 180.6 million metric tons of soybeans and 141.7 million metric tons of corn for the 2025/26 harvest, with soybean crushing expected to reach 62.6 million metric tons and generate 48.3 million metric tons of soybean meal.
