Brazil's presence at Food & Hospitality Indonesia (FHI) 2026 marked a significant milestone in the country's growing engagement with Southeast Asia. The event, held from July 21-24 at Jakarta International Expo, showcased Brazilian food industry products and reflected Brazil's ambition to expand exports beyond traditional commodities.
The 20th edition of FHI highlighted Brazil's interest in Indonesia and the wider Southeast Asian market. Ambassador George Monteiro Prata and Agricultural Attaché Carlos Turchetto attended the opening ceremony, accompanied by 10 Brazilian food industry representatives showcasing nuts, açaí sorbet, coffee, and wine.
Brazil's engagement with Southeast Asia has deepened through its partnership with ASEAN, offering opportunities for cooperation in trade, food security, sustainable development, and regional connectivity. The country aims to expand exports beyond soybeans, corn, and beef, leveraging its expertise in tropical farming, precision agriculture, biofuels, and sustainable livestock management.
