Brazilian Grain Harvest Hits Record High Amid Gains in Key Crops

Brazil's food supply and crop agency, Conab, has revised its estimate for the country's grain harvest in the 2025/26 cycle. The new projection stands at a record 361.7 million metric tons, marking a 2.6% increase from the previous season.

The growth is mainly driven by gains in soybeans, corn, and cotton production. Soybean output is expected to reach 180.4 million metric tons, the highest ever recorded in Conab's monitoring series.

Meanwhile, corn production is forecast at 144 million metric tons, up 2% from the previous season. Cotton output is also projected at a record 4.14 million metric tons, despite a 3.2% decline in planted area.
