Brazil's Corn Exports Lag Behind Last Year's Pace in July

Brazil's corn export pace in July 2026 is significantly slower than last year, according to data from Secex. From July 1 to 24, Brazil exported 1.35 million tonnes of corn, compared to 2.43 million tonnes during the same period in July 2025.

This lag in exports implies a contraction in global corn supply, supporting domestic corn spot prices. The benchmark corn contract (C2609) on the Dalian Commodity Exchange closed at 2,267 RMB/tonne on July 29, 2026, a slight decline of 4 RMB/tonne, with an open interest of 930,700 lots.

This bullish news may drive corn futures prices to trade with greater strength going forward. SunSirs has been tracking price data for over 200 commodities for nearly 20 years.
