Brazil's Tax Revenue Soars on High Oil Prices

Federal tax revenue in Brazil rose 7.72% in real terms to R$264.4 billion in June, driven by high oil prices.

This was the highest June figure since official records began in 1995, in inflation-adjusted terms.

Over the first six months of the year, federal tax revenue reached R$1.58 trillion, a real increase of 6.63% and the strongest result ever recorded for the period.
