Brent Crude Dips Below $102 as West Asia Diplomacy Eases Supply Concerns
Brent crude oil prices fell below $102 per barrel on Monday as diplomatic engagement in West Asia eased concerns over possible supply disruptions.
The November Brent futures contract was trading at $101.62 a barrel, down 2.05% from the previous day's close, while October WTI crude futures stood at $98.02, declining 2.27%.
US-Iran talks remain in focus as US President Donald Trump expressed willingness to meet with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian at the United Nations General Assembly in New York this week.
The US Central Command Commander, Admiral Brad Cooper, said American forces had supported the movement of over 1 billion barrels of crude oil through the Strait of Hormuz in recent months.
