Brent Crude Falls Below $103 as Oil Prices Continue Slide
Oil prices continued to slide on Monday, with Brent crude futures falling 81 cents to $103.06 per barrel at 0031 GMT, extending losses from Friday's 0.91% decline.
The US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude also dropped, down 89 cents to $99.41 a barrel, following a 1.58% decrease in the previous session.
Despite fresh attacks claimed by the Houthis on Saudi Arabia's capital Riyadh and an Aramco facility in Yanbu, oil prices remained low, trading at around $101.79 per barrel for Brent crude and $98.11 per barrel for WTI.
Analysts predict a flat start to Indian equities, with GIFT Nifty hovering above 23,000 and the Nifty 50's previous close of 23,346 pointing to a largely unchanged beginning for domestic markets.
