Brent Crude Hits $100.59 as Oil Prices Climb
Oil prices saw a slight increase on Tuesday, with Brent crude futures climbing to $100.59 per barrel. This rise marked a 0.3% gain, or 27 cents, from the previous day's close.
Meanwhile, US West Texas Intermediate crude futures also rose by 30 cents, or 0.3%, reaching $89.73 per barrel. The upward movement in prices followed a recent agreement among G7 nations to release 100 million barrels of diesel and crude oil from their emergency reserves.
The G7 countries also pledged to avoid imposing restrictions on energy exports, a decision influenced by pressure from US President Donald Trump.
