Brent Crude Sinks 2.10% as Global Trends Weaken
Crude oil prices took a hit in global markets yesterday, with Brent crude slipping 2.10% to $86.72 per barrel. The price decline was reflected in futures trade on the MCX, where crude oil futures for September delivery fell by 1.68% in 5,216 lots.
Analysts attributed the price drop to participants offloading their holdings due to weak demand in the spot market. Globally, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude was trading lower at $80.57 per barrel, with Brent crude declining 2.10% to $86.72 per barrel in New York.
The price decline comes amid a broader trend of weak global trends in the commodities market.
