Brent Crude Surges Past $106 Amid Ongoing Middle East Tensions

Global oil prices have risen for two consecutive days, with Brent crude breaking above $106 per barrel. The increase comes amidst ongoing tensions in the Middle East, where the US and Iran are engaged in indirect talks through mediators.

The price of Brent crude oil rose 1.22% to $106.56 per barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) oil increased by over 1% to $93.57 per barrel, according to CNBC.

Market analysts are cautious about the potential impact of these developments on energy supplies. Mahmoud Mashal, senior market analyst at VT Markets Dubai, noted that progress in negotiations could lead to suppressed oil prices, but concerns about disruptions to energy infrastructure persist.
