Brent Crude Tumbles Below $100 Amid Gulf Region Disruptions
Brent crude prices plummeted below $100 a barrel on Friday, amidst reports of alleged false flag operations in the Gulf region. The Brent crude price fell by $2.83, or around 3%, to $99.48 per barrel.
The decline was also seen in US West Texas Intermediate (WTI), which dropped by $3.35 to $89.52 per barrel. This marks a weekly decline of approximately 4.7% for Brent crude.
Iranian state media reported alleged claims that the United States and its partners were conducting false flag operations in the Strait of Hormuz, although these claims have not been independently verified.
