Oil prices have recovered after a recent dip, with ICE Brent increasing by 2.1% due to improved prospects for US-Iran talks and increased oil flows through the Strait of Hormuz.

The renewed strength in the market comes as diplomatic efforts to restart talks between the two nations have hit a roadblock, but optimism remains amid growing signs of additional oil flowing through the key chokepoint.

According to ING's Warren Patterson and Ewa Manthey, Venezuela's potential exit from OPEC could reduce the group's formal influence, but the wider OPEC+ group would still hold substantial market power.
