Bri-Chem Corp., a North American oilfield chemical distribution and blending firm based in Edmonton, Alberta, announced its Q2 2026 financial results revealing a significant downturn.

The company posted a 24% year-over-year decrease in consolidated sales to $15.5 million, mainly driven by a sharp decline in its US drilling fluids distribution segment. The US division recorded $7.4 million in sales during Q2 2026, down 40% from $12.3 million in Q2 2025.

Bri-Chem's Canadian operations maintained stability despite record rainfall in Alberta during June, which negatively affected activity. However, increased sales to existing customers helped offset losses from one key client.

The company reported a net loss of $470 thousand compared to net earnings of $157 thousand in the same quarter last year. Adjusted EBITDA plunged 82% to $184 thousand from $1.045 million in Q2 2025, while working capital decreased 51% to $5.4 million as of June 30, 2026.
