The Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (EWRC) in Bulgaria is reviewing a proposal from public supplier Bulgargaz to lower natural gas prices for August. The proposed price per megawatt-hour is 37.36 euros, representing a 0.9% decrease compared to July levels of 37.70 euros.

Bulgargaz relies on several sources to meet consumer needs, including a long-term contract with Azerbaijan and extraction from the Chiren gas storage facility. The company also anticipates importing liquefied natural gas (LNG) via Greece in August, but notes that deliveries via Turkey are not expected.
