Bulgaria Approves 6% Natural Gas Price Hike for October

The Energy and Water Regulatory Commission in Bulgaria approved the price of natural gas for October at 44.09 euros per megawatt-hour, a 5.99% increase from September's rate.

The regulator did not accept an additional increase requested by 'Bulgargaz' of 0.33 euros.

Chairman Plamen Mladenovski warned of unfavorable market trends for natural gas during the upcoming winter season, stating that 'The Energy Regulator will not allow an additional increase in the price of natural gas for the month of October, as this is unacceptable.'
