Bullion Firm Up Again for Global X Physical Gold

Global X Physical Gold (ASX:GOLD) has seen its bullion firm up again, despite a challenging month for the precious metal. Spot gold edged higher on Friday to trade near historic highs, despite being pressured by rising global bond yields.

The exchange-traded product, backed by allocated physical bars, allows Australian traders to directly invest in the metal at a time when rate, currency, and geopolitical forces are all pulling in different directions.

Chinese gold imports hit a record earlier this month, showing robust demand from the world's largest consumer. Central banks have continued to add gold to their reserves as a hedge against currency and sanctions risk.
