Bunge and ABP Hit One Million Tonnes at Port of Immingham
Bunge and Associated British Ports (ABP) have achieved a significant milestone at the Port of Immingham, moving over one million tonnes of grains and oilseeds since teaming up in 2022.
The partnership was launched with the commissioning of Shed 35, a purpose-built agribulk storage facility, at the Humber International Terminal. To meet growing demand, the two companies developed Shed 36, increasing the site's overall storage capacity to approximately 75,000 tonnes.
According to James Maw, Bunge's UK country manager, 'the UK agriculture sector relies on robust links between producers, consumers, and international markets.' He noted that the joint operations at the Port of Immingham manage imports of essential feed ingredients and have also managed exports of feed wheat, malting barley, beans, and rye.
