Bunker Hill Mines Silver47 for Consolidated North American Resource Base
The global silver market is experiencing an unusual intersection of demand from monetary hedges, industrial inputs, and geopolitical tensions.
This convergence has accelerated a new wave of domestic silver consolidation in North America, with Bunker Hill Mining's acquisition of Silver47 Exploration being the clearest expression yet.
The merger is structured as an all-share plan-of-arrangement agreement, under which Silver47 shareholders will receive 0.1724 Bunker Hill shares for each share they hold, implying a valuation of approximately US$163 million for Silver47 on a standalone basis.
The combined entity, to be renamed Bunker Hill Silver Corp., will control a significant resource base in the United States, with a combined measured and indicated resource of 80 million ounces (Moz) of silver equivalent alongside an inferred resource of 308 Moz of silver equivalent across its four U.S. projects.
The deal is subject to several gating conditions, including supermajority shareholder approval from Silver47 shareholders, court approval under the plan-of-arrangement structure, and regulatory clearances applicable to cross-border mining transactions.
