BYD Delivers Record-Shattering 6,068 EVs to UAE
A shipment of 6,068 BYD electric vehicles (EVs) is en route to Khor Fakkan Port in the UAE. The cargo aboard the Changsha vessel includes BYD's Fangchengbao Titanium 7 SUVs, with 3,725 units marking the model's first export batch.
The shipment is a record for Khor Fakkan Port and sets a new benchmark for exports from Xiaomo International Logistics Port in Shenzhen. The direct ro-ro route between Xiaomo and Khor Fakkan is expected to reduce delivery times by three to five days, avoiding the Strait of Hormuz.
BYD has built a fleet of LNG dual-fuel car carriers, including the Changsha, which has 9,200 vehicle spaces. The carmaker's decision to own its own shipping lines gives it control over export logistics and allows for more efficient supply chain management.
