Canada Courts Poland for Nuclear Tech and LNG Deals Amid Trade Tensions

Canada is expanding its trade relationships beyond the US by targeting Poland with nuclear technology and uranium supplies, as well as liquefied natural gas (LNG).

Ottawa has held discussions with Polish officials about potentially helping build the country's second nuclear power plant.

Canadian Trade Minister Maninder Sidhu said Ottawa has explored opportunities to supply LNG to Poland through terminals on the Baltic Sea.

The push comes as Canada seeks to reduce its dependence on the US market at a time when trade relations between the two North American neighbours have become increasingly difficult.
