Canada Energy Regulator Approves Trans Mountain Toll Settlement
The Canada Energy Regulator has given its approval to a settlement between Trans Mountain Corp. and oil shippers using the Alberta-to-British Columbia pipeline.
A commission of the regulator determined that the agreed-upon tolls were 'just and reasonable.'
This decision allows Trans Mountain to contract up to 90% of the pipeline's capacity, a significant increase from the previous 80%. The company plans to further expand its operations, aiming for an additional 19% increase in capacity by late 2028.
